Information on whether you will have to quarantine upon arrival in the UK can be found here.

I am an incoming graduate student staying in College accommodation and…

  • will have to quarantine upon arrival:

    1. Book a time slot for your arrival at College here ("Student Arrivals"), if you have not already done so. If you will be staying in St Cross, select "BNC Arrivals – St Cross". If you will be staying in Hollybush Row, select "BNC Arrivals – Hollybush Row". Slots should be booked as soon as possible and no later than 4 days prior to your arrival date. If early or late travel arrangements prevent you from arriving within the pre-set booking slots, make sure to contact our porters (porter@bnc.ox.ac.uk) and our Head Porter Andy (andrew.talbot@bnc.ox.ac.uk) and inform them of your arrival time.

    2. Familiarise yourself with the College’s international arrivals quarantine plan specifically.

    3. Familiarise yourself with the College’s plans and policies in light of COVID-19.

    4. Make sure to set-up your UPay account and check-out the Order Ahead system prior to arriving at College. You will have received information about this from the College IT. This is especially important for you, because you will be able to order food and drinks for delivery through this system while in quarantine in College accommodation. In case of problems, please check out the College’s UPay guide here first, and if you do not find your answer there, contact computer.office@bnc.ox.ac.uk as soon as possible for help.

    5. Stay up-to-date with the Fresher’s information on the HCR website (Fresher’s Timetable, Fresher’s Guide, Fresher’s Portal) and with the Fresher’s information on the College website.

    6. Upon your arrival at Oxford, head to the main site of Brasenose College to collect your fob/key. The porters will be able to provide you with further information on how to get to your accommodation.

I am an incoming graduate student staying in private accommodation and…

  • will have to quarantine upon arrival:

    1. Domestic arrangements will depend on your landlord. Unfortunately, the College will not be able to deliver food and drinks to those in quarantine in private accommodation.

    2. Familiarise yourself with the UK government guidance on how to self-isolate when you travel to the UK.

    3. Familiarise yourself with the College’s plans and policies in light of COVID-19.

    4. Make sure to set-up your UPay account and check-out the Order Ahead system prior to arriving at College. 5. Collect your fob from the College lodge whenever convenient to you, but please try to avoid October 3rd, 4th and 5th, which will be particularly busy days for the College lodge due to the arrival of undergraduates. It would be preferable if you could collect your fob between 7 am and 9 pm rather than overnight.

    6. Stay up-to-date with the Fresher’s information on the HCR website (Fresher’s Timetable, Fresher’s Guide, Fresher’s Portal) and with the Fresher’s information on the College website.
